The HEPBURN Dress
The HEPBURN Dress is a dress with a close-fitting bodice and pleats at the neckline. Box pleats in the front and back add a bit of volume to the skirt (Variation 1).
The bodice is fully lined and comes in different variations. If you want to mix it up a little bit you can skip the neckline pleats and use the bodice lining as your main bodice pattern (Variation 2) – you can then add beads or a Peter Pan collar if you like. Or go with the lowered scooped neckline pattern, which is also included (Variation 3).
The pattern is perfect for someone with intermediate sewing skills, but can also be tackled by a confident beginner. The pattern also comes with detailed and illustrated instructions, including adding lining to the bodice and adding additional finished such as a waiststay or lingerie strap guards.
