Learning how to weave! New hobbies are always so e

Learning how to weave! New hobbies are always so exciting! Loving the process so far and the results aren’t that bad either. Preparing the loom took forever, that’s for sure the most annoying part. The actual weaving is so much fun and surprisingly quick. Thanks to the brilliant instructions by @chantimanou

Spend the afternoon mending and fixing some clothe

Spend the afternoon mending and fixing some clothes which I found really satisfying.
Mended two nightgowns, a pair of jeans, and two T-shirt’s!
Swipe to see how I fixed a broken zip, a hole in a jersey T-shirt and some iron on foil letters that were peeling off.
I’m happiest about being able to wear my favourite Mia Jeans again after parking it in the mending basket for almost a year.
Part of being conscious and making sustainable choices when it comes to clothing is not only to avoid fast fashion or make clothes yourself, but to refashion or mend before recycling/throwing out clothes. #slowfashion does not just mean slow in the making but also giving clothes a longer lifespan before you replace them.

#memademay outfit today is a @sewoveritlondon Mia Jeans and a @burda_style top plus a super adorable dog that wouldn’t stop photobombing! I’ve had trouble taking pics of all the outfits for the last couple days as I keep wearing the same things over and over! Also, I’m not a big fan of washing clothes after just one wear (unless they need to be) so I usually wear them a couple of times, thus rotating only a few different outfits a fortnight. Turns out this isn’t exciting content for an Insta challenge 😆 but I pretty much managed to wear handmade throughout May thus far!

#memademay day 15: I haven’t worn this Agnes Top in forever so yesterday’s me made day was a good reason to give it a go. I fell in love with it again and will definitely wear it more often. Btw haven’t been skipping the other days out of lack of me made clothes, but I tend to wear some garments more than once and that would be boring to share!
