Spring is back – and so am I.

A whole month of no sewing (craaaaaazy!), no blogging but way too much non-stop studying.

Finally. Exams are over, all deadlines met and I have (at least part of) my life back. After four weeks of not having the chance to discharge all my creative energy I’m loaded with ideas. And guess what? Yes, I started sewing right away.

But not before relaxing a bit in Regent’s Park which is so damn pretty right now. Here are some impressions of the park and a sneak peek at what’s coming up:

I finally picked up my copy of Sewing Vintage ModernΒ and drafted the bodice pattern for a fitted bustier dress. The instructions were really simple and the muslin fits perfectly. However, I won’t sew the dress from the book but will be a bit more creative than that πŸ˜‰

It’s gonna be the first time I will use polyester boning. Pretty exciting πŸ˜‰

So, what have you been up to in the last four weeks? Did I miss anything exciting?

  1. Nothing new here either, except work, work, work. Darn, what happened to spring frolicking?
Can’t wait to see the dress, it looks really complicated (to a totally untrained here like mine, ha ha)!

    1. Work…had too much of this the last few weeks and even more to come, but sewing breaks every now ans then are awesome πŸ™‚ Wasn’t too complicated, really. The instructions in the book are so easy it almost felt a bit like geometry class πŸ˜‰

  2. Welcome back!

What lovely photos. I’m in Regent’s Park one day a week for a gardening course and I have been really, really enjoying all the amazing flowers there these past few weeks. Not the mention the sunshine to view them in!

    1. Wow I didn’t know they had classes! I live right next to the park and I’m amazed every single time I go there. One of the prettiest parks i know!
